I want to sing praises to the postal services!
So often underrated, laughed at, derided, ridiculed - and, oh so often unappreciated!
This praise is foremost directed at the Romanian Postal Service, and secondly at all the international postal services that were involved in the transport and delivery of my letter.
I posted the letter to Anna at Drobeta Turnu Severin on September 28, 2007. It was addressed to the state of Iowa.
I arrived there on November 9, 2007.
The letter did not!
Ah! But don't despair ... The letter arrived today, November 29, 2007.
Only two months and one day from the date I mailed it.
Hurrah and Bravo to the postal workers everywhere!
